CAN 10000m Champs

Nice feeling to be the Canadian Champ at something, 10000m, I'll take it. Time was good (29:23) considering weather conditions and it being a championship type race for us Canadians involved. A few Mexicans did the majority of the leading until I took it with six laps to go. Put my foot on the accelerator to the end and was able to come up with the win. Next objective is to get race plans straightened out for the remainder of this season.

Richmond 3000m

Another one in the books, this time with a new person best time. Lowered it by a second to 7:58.40, finishing second in the process to a speedy Mexican who's run a minute quicker in the 10000m then me this year. A rabbit took us through one k at 8 minute pace while I ran back in fourth. Once he dropped I moved to the front a lap later leading for the middle section. Felt good up there managing to keep the pace honest with a couple more 64's. The Mexican, Suarez, maneuvered past me with 800m to go, eventually pulling away in last few hundred meters. Closed in 31 last 200m feeling good just not quite as good as the guy in front.
